Chattisgarh Public Service Commission has just now conducted its preliminary examination paper 1 on February 13, 2022. The provisional answer key for the examination is expected to be published about a week after the exam, on the official website of the examination psc.cg.gov.in. The answer keys will be provided in a PDF format for all the question paper sets- A, B, C, D. Soon after the exam concluded, various coaching centers, teachers, and educators on youtube and other learning platforms have compiled their answer keys, providing the explanation for each correct answer.
Online learning sites like Unacademy, Gradeup, Byju’s, Plutus Online are also publishing their version of correct answers, along with Youtube tutorial channels like Competition Community, CGPSC Tak, CGPSC Academy, etc. Coaching Institutes like Path IAS Academy, Udaan Training Services, PSC Education Center, Prabhakar Educational Institute, Bright Tutorials, Destiny IAS, etc are also expected to release their respective unofficial answer keys.
The CGPSC exam is conducted in three levels – Prelims, Mains, and Personal Interview. The prelims exams comprise of two papers of 2 hours each i.e. Paper-1 and Paper-2. Both consist of 100 questions of 2 marks each. There is a deduction of 1/3 for every negative response. Paper-1 and Paper-2 have questions from General Studies and Aptitude respectively. The Mains exams have 7 sub-sections. Each paper is of 3 hours and the maximum mark for each paper is 200. It is a subjective-type exam and there is a word limit for every section. The candidates who qualify for the Mains exam are asked to appear for a personal interview. This is worth 150 marks. The final decision is made on the cumulative aggregate of the Mains exam and the interview round.
For the prelims exam, the qualifying percentage for general candidates is 33% or 66 marks (out of 200). For reserved category students, it is 23% or 46 marks. For the Mains exam, the qualifying percentage for General students is 33% or 458 marks (out of 1400), and for unreserved students, it is 23% or 322 marks.
CGPSC exams are held as state-level civil services examinations for the Group B and Group C posts within Chhattisgarh, including police services, tax officers, financial services officers, labor officers, child development registrar, etc. The Police Service Commission operates under Act 315 of the Constitution of India.
