The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released an official memorandum whereby it has detailed the number of vacancies that will be filled for 44 groups. The Board will soon start the process of holding combined examinations. In this regard, a detailed advertisement is awaited. The eligibility criteria for all the groups range from matriculation to a postgraduate degree.
Group 01 has a total of 594 vacancies that will be filled for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil). The minimum eligibility requirement is a diploma in civil engineering from a recognized institution. Group 02 has 79 vacancies for Junior Engineer (Electrical) and Section Officer (Electrical). Interested candidates should have a diploma in electrical engineering. For Group 03, a total of 10 vacancies will be filled for Assistant Engineer (Electrical) for which candidates must have a degree in electrical engineering. Group 04 will cover 612 vacancies for 10 posts. Candidates should have matriculation or equivalent degree.
In Group 05, there are 1136 vacancies for a total of 24 posts. Candidates must have passed the 12th or equivalent examination. Group 06 has 1753 vacancies for primary teachers for which candidates must have passed the 12th or equivalent examination and must have done courses in elementary teaching, etc. There are 16 vacancies for Group 07 under the Draughtsman posts. In addition to matriculation, interested candidates must have a diploma in draftsmanship. Groups 08 and 09 have 02 and 33 vacancies respectively for which candidates must have matriculation or equivalent degree.
Group 10 has 12 vacancies for Lab technicians while Group 11 has 82 vacancies for pharmacists. Coming to Group 12, there are 128 vacancies for Pharmacist/Dispenser. The minimum eligibility requirement is that candidates must have a matriculation degree with a diploma in pharmacy. Group 13 has 312 vacancies for various Nursing posts. There are 24 vacancies for Legal Assistant and Assistant Law Officer under Group 14 for which candidates must have a law degree. Similarly, Group 15 is for 60 vacancies Section Officer in Horticulture and candidates must have a degree in Agriculture to apply.
From Group 16 onwards, most of the vacancies are for teaching faculty for various subjects. For instance, Group 16 will have 10 vacancies for Hindi while Group 17 has 17 vacancies for History. Likewise, Group 18 (28 vacancies) is for Political Science, Group 19 (25 vacancies) for Economics, Group 20 (19 vacancies) for Geography, Group 21 (20 vacancies) for Maths, Group 22 (16 vacancies) for Commerce, Group 23 (07 vacancies) for Physics, Group 24 (24 vacancies) for Chemistry, Group 25 (28 vacancies) for Biology, Group 26 (05 vacancies) for Sociology, Group 27 (01 vacancy) for Home Science, Group 28 (24 vacancies) for Physical Education and so on.
