Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the CTET 2022 Score Card soon, preferably by next week. Results will be announced on the official portal ctet.nic.in. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2022 examination was conducted through the computer-based format, at selected centers across the country. However, the education board is yet to specify a fixed date for the result announcement. The board has already released the official answer key for the exam.
The eligibility test was conducted from December 16, 2021, to January 30, 2022. While waiting for the CTET result 2022 to come out, candidates can take a look at this year’s exam statistics to determine the level of competition.
33% Qualified in Paper I; 16% in Paper II last year!
The CTET 2021 exam was successfully held across the country on January 31, 2021. The result for the exam was announced 26 days later, on February 26, 2021. According to official statistics, 16,11,423 candidates had registered for Paper I out of which, 12,47,217 candidates appeared for the test. Out of the total attendees, around 33% (4,14,798) candidates qualified for the exam.
The qualifying percentage in CTET 2021 Paper II was considerably less compared to Paper I. In fact, as many as 14,47,551 candidates registered out of which, 11,04,454 aspirants appeared for Paper II. Only 16% (2,39,501) candidates qualified the second paper.
Will the competition remain the same in CTET 2022?
As of now, CBSE has not provided any figures specifying the number of applicants and the attendance for the CTET 2022 exam. These figures will be specified while announcing the result. However, just knowing the number of exam attendees is not enough to determine the competition level.
The CTET 2022 competition is determined by several factors such as the number of registered candidates, difficulty level of Paper I and Paper II, cut-off, marks of topper, etc. All these factors shall together, play a role in determining this year’s competition.
Overview of CTET 2022 Papers
The CTET 2022 examination was conducted in the form of two papers – Paper I and Paper II. While the former is for those interested in teaching Class 1-5, the latter was held for candidates interested in teaching Class 6-8. Those who qualify the eligibility test will be awarded a certificate. This certificate will permit them to teach in any school affiliated with the board.
As of now, candidates are ardently waiting for the CTET score card 2022 to come out. In addition to exam statistics, the board will also announce the cut-offs for each category.
