“Dear candidate, CTET Dec 21 exam scheduled for 17/12/21 is postponed, new date will be notified. (sent by NICSI)“, reads the SMS CTET 2021 aspirants across the country have received just now. NICSI stands for National Informatics Centre Services Inc.

Less than a day ahead of the second day of CTET 2021 examination, candidates are receiving an SMS stating the exam scheduled tomorrow, December 17, 2021, has been postponed to a later date. In fact, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has today, December 16, 2021, issued a public notice, reaffirming this postponement. This notice has been published in the PDF format on the official website ctet.nic.in. Additionally, the board has attributed the reason for this postponement to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Ltd. The firm is now looking at resolving the technical issues on priority.

CTET 2021 Public Notice

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2021 examination began today, in the computer-based format. However only one of the two shifts could he held. The paper 1 in first shift was held, while the paper 2 in second shift got cancelled. Candidates were to appear for the exam at selected centres across the country. In this manner, the eligibility test was going to be conducted till January 13, 2022.

But, due to certain technical requirements specified by TCS, Paper 2 could not be conducted today. Although Paper I has been conducted successfully during the specified time-slot. Invariably, due to these technical issues, tomorrow’s CTET 2021 exam has also been postponed indefinitely. Candidates have also received an SMS informing the same.

Candidates however, need not worry too much as the TCS is looking into these last-minute technical requirements. The firm aims to overcome these issues as soon as possible to not cause any further changes in the CTET 2021 examination.

So, Shift 2 of December 16, 2021, and Shifts 1 and 2 of December 17, 2021, will be held at a later stage. The rescheduled dates will be decided and informed to candidates, after consulting with TCS. The same has been reiterated through the public notice released today.

Although three shifts of CTET 2021 examination have been postponed, rest of the schedule shall remain the same. So, next slot of the eligibility test will be conducted as per scheduled, on Monday, December 20, 2021. Candidates are therefore, instructed to reach their respective exam centres, as per the date and time mentioned in their admit cards.

Candidates whose CTET 2021 exam shift has been postponed are instructed to visit the official website ctet.nic.in frequently for important updates regarding the new dates. Of course, they will be notified about the new schedule via SMS or email.
