Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has today, December 16, 2021, begun the application process for B.Sc. Nursing and other 4-year courses. A detailed information brochure has also been released on the official website cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Interested candidates can apply for these courses online, subject to the eligibility criteria. Since the last date to apply is December 16, 2021, candidates have merely 3 days’ time to complete the formalities.
Karnataka B.Sc Nursing 2021 Important Dates
KEA is currently conducting the online application process for 4 to 4.5 year courses namely B.Sc. Nursing, B.P.T(Bachelor of Physiotherapy), B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences and B.P.O. This registration process is being held from December 16 to 19, 2021. However, candidates will get an extra day i.e,m up to December 20, 2021, to pay the prescribed application fee.
Once the online registration formalities are done, KEA will specifically verify the documents of each candidate from December 20 to 23, 2021. To ensure that claims like name, date of birth, education details, category information, etc. made by a candidate are authentic and correct.
Karnataka B.Sc Nursing 2021 Application Fee
To apply for the 4-year B.Sc Nursing Course 2021, candidates are expected to pay a certain amount as application fee.Those belonging to General, and OBC categories need to pay Rs.1000 whereas SC, ST, PwD and Category-I candidates need to pay Rs.500 as application fee.
Candidates must note that the Karnataka B.Sc Nursing 2021 application fee needs to be paid through Credit Card (Master or Visa) or Debit Card (Rupay) only. KEA will not be accepting payment through any other gateway. Moreover, this registration fee is non-refundable. So, before proceeding to the payment page, candidates need to make a firm decision i.e., whether or not they wish to apply for the 4-year B.Sc Nursing Course 2021.
Karnataka B.Sc Nursing 2021 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Karnataka B.Sc. Nursing 2021 course, candidates must have individually passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Moreover, they must have acquired at least 45% marks in the PCB combination in Class 12 or equivalent class. However, SC, ST and other backward categories require 40% marks in the PCB combination in Class 12 to be eligible.
Overview of Karnataka B.Sc Nursing 2021 Application Process
To apply for the Karnataka B.Sc Nursing 4-year course, candidates need to follow a 4-step process described below –
Step 1: Register on the official website cetonline.karnataka.gov.in to get the application ID and password on the registered mobile number or email ID. Use these credentials to log-in to the portal.
Step 2: Upload scanned copies of recent, passport-size colour photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression. Images need to be uploaded in the JPEG or JPG format.
Step 3: Pay the requisite application fee corresponding category, using the permitted payment gateway.
Step 4: Print a copy of the confirmation page on an A4-size paper to present it during the document verification process.
KEA, coming under the ambit of the Karnataka state government, conducts a counselling process every year for granting admission to various courses in the medical field, one of them being B.Sc. Nursing. This counselling process is to fill-up seats at several affiliated government colleges as well as private institutions, subject to eligibility criteria and relaxations specified by the state government.
