Bihar Staff Selection Commission has announced the new dates of the 1st Inter Level Combined Competitive (Mains) exam. The examination is now scheduled to be conducted on December 25, 2020, as opposed to December 13, 2020. The official announcement came out through a latest notice released at the official website of the Commission i.e. bssc.bih.nic.in. The Commission has indicated that the admit cards for the Mains exam is to be uploaded on the official website very soon. Candidates have been advised to visit the website regularly for further updates and latest news about the recruitment exam.
BSSC has indicated in the new exam date notification that as per LPA No. 276/2020, the High Court in Patna has approved the Commission to conduct the 1st Inter Level Combined Competitive (Mains) Exam 2020 on the previously decided date i.e. December 13, 2020. However, the Commission has cited certain constraints in conducting the exam on the aforementioned date. Thus the exam date has been rescheduled to December 25, 2020.
The Commission has indicated that the admit card for the BSSC 1st Inter Level Combined Competitive (Mains) Exam 2020 is required to be uploaded at least 07 days before the exam. This is to ensure that registered candidates have enough time to download the admit card and the Commission also have adequate time of making any corrections on the admit cards if any discrepancy is encountered.
It has also been indicated by the Commission that some candidates who are registered to appear for the Mains exam are out of the state. Therefore, such candidates will need some time to come back to the state and appear in the exam in designated centres. The decision to postpone the exam has been taken in order to ensure that the Mains examination can be conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
Bihar Staff Selection Commission has also indicated that certain state and national level exam dates are coinciding with the previously announced exam date of BSSC 1st Inter Level Combined Competitive (Mains) Exam 2020 in December. For instance, the Combined Defence Service exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 20, 2020. Examinations of Bihar Public Service Commission are also scheduled to be held from December 17 and 18, 2020.
Some colleges and institutions in the state have been designated as exam centres for conducting the BSSC 1st Inter Level Combined Competitive (Mains) Exam 2020. However, some University exams are already scheduled to be conducted from December 15 to 23, 2020 which makes it impossible to conduct the Mains exam on these days. As such, it is difficult to reschedule the exam on any date between December 17 and 23, 2020.
In view of the aforementioned circumstances, the BSSC has concluded to postpone the exam to December 25, 2020 instead of conducting it on December 13, 2020. The 1st Inter Level Combined Competitive (Mains) 2020 exam will now be conducted in two shifts on December 25, 2020. Candidates will be able to get further updates regarding the exam and release of admit cards at the official website i.e. bssc.nic.in.
