What next?
Candidates who have qualified the exam will have to attend the interview. After the interview session, an evaluation of the candidates’ teaching skills, language proficiency, and computer proficiency will be done. Based on these, the recruitment of the candidates for PGT/ TGT/ PRT will take place. Reportedly, there are a total of 8700 vacancies (subject to change) in 138 Army Public Schools across the country, which will be filled through the OST exam. Before the declaration of the results, the normalization of scores will be done to 100. The scorecard has lifetime validity if the candidate is recruited as a teacher, within 3 years of the declaration of the results.
AWES APS OST Exam Pattern and Cut-off
The exam pattern varies for PGT/ TGT and PRT exams. The questions are of MCQ type with a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer given by the candidate. However, the minimum qualifying mark for the candidate to be eligible for the interview session is 50%.
