Army Recruiting Office, Jorhat (Assam) is going to conduct a recruitment rally from February 06 to 19, 2021 at Mariani. The rally is for recruitment of 12th, 10th and 8th pass candidates to fill up posts for Soldier. Eligible candidates have to register online at joinindianarmy.nic.in from December 25, 2020 to January 23, 2021. Registered candidates are to be issued admit cards for the rally from January 24 to 31, 2021 through the aforementioned website.
It may be noted that the rally is only open for candidates of the districts of Jorhat, Majuli, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Sivasagar, Charaideo, Demaji, North Lakhimpur and Karbi Anglong of Upper Assam. The vacancies are for various Soldier posts including Soldier General Duty (All Arms), Soldier Technical, Soldier Tradesman (10th Pass) and Soldier Tradesman (8th Pass).

Candidates within the age limit of 17.5 to 23 years can apply for the posts except for the post of Soldier GD, for which, the upper age limit is 21 years. In addition, one must also comply with the physical standards specified by the ARO in the detailed advertisement.
10th pass candidates with 45% aggregate marks and 33% marks in each subject can apply for the post of Soldier GD. 12th pass candidates with PCM and English who have acquired at least 50% aggregate and 40% in each subject are eligible to apply for Soldier Technical. Simple 10th pass and 8th pass candidates who have acquired 33% or more in each subject are eligible to apply for Soldier Tradesman (10th & 8th pass) posts.
Candidates have to download the admit card from the official website and appear in the rally with a print out of it. In addition, candidates are also required to Initial selection is to be done on the basis of the rally which consist of Physical Events such as 1.6 KM run, Pull Ups, 9 Feet Ditch, and Zig Zag Balance. Candidates are also required to qualify through the physical measurement and medical test. Those who qualify are issued admit cards to appear in a written examination through which, the final selection is to be done.
There is no application fee to be paid for this recruitment. Only eligible candidates must however, register online to get the admit cards.
