State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Andhra Pradesh has released an official notification for the recruitment of Scientific Assistant. As per the notification, SLPRB has advertised 58 vacancies for Scientific Assistant recruitment for various departments. The online registrations have started from November 02, 2020. The post of Scientific Assistant is required in the Forensic Science Laboratory. Out of the total announced vacancies, 18 are advertised for Scientific Assistant (Physical), 17 for Scientific Assistant Chemical, 22 for Scientific Assistant (Biology/ Serology) and 01 for Scientific Assistant (Chemical Limited Recruitment). Aspirants who are selected for the announced posts get a monthly salary of Rs. 28940/- to Rs. 78910/-.
To apply for the advertised post, candidates must have the minimum educational qualification. Aspirants who have passed M. Sc with first or second division with Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Zoology/ Botany/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Forensic Science with Chemistry or related subject can apply for Scientific Assistant. While applying, a candidate must not have attained the maximum age limit of 42 years as on July 01, 2020. The upper age is relaxed for the reserved category candidates. Up to 05 years is relaxed for BC/ SC/ST/ Employee of AP state government and 03 years for candidates who have rendered service in the Army, Naval or Air Force.
To submit applications, aspirants have to visit the official website of SLPRB Andhra Pradesh, slprb.ap.gov.in. Aspirants are required to upload the copy of photograph signature, community certificate and other certificates while submitting the online application form. Candidates belonging to Unreserved, Backward Class category have to pay Rs. 600/- as the application fee. However, SC/ ST candidates have to pay an application fee amounting to Rs. 300/-. The fee can only be paid online via slprb.ap.gov.in. Aspirants can use a credit card, debit card, net banking and other modes available on SLPRB website to pay the fee.
The selection procedure of the AP Police Scientific Assistant includes a written test. Candidates are required to appear for the written examination for 120 questions. There will be objective type questions in the written examination carrying 120 marks. The written examination is tentatively scheduled for December 06, 2020, from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM. The final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the written exam.
