South East Central Railways is inviting online applications for the 413 vacant posts of Apprentices. Official notification is also published recently on the official website of South East Central Railways, secr.indianrailways.gov.in. The online registrations for Apprentice recruitment have already started from November 02, 2020, onwards. Eligible and interested candidates are advised to submit their application before the last date which is December 01, 2020.
As per the notification, the recruitment for Apprentice is advertised for DRM Officer SECR Raipur and Wagon Repair Shop Raipur. The posts that are advertised are as follows – Welder, Turner, Fitter, Electrician, Stenographer, HS Inspector, Comp. Operator, Machinist, Mechanic Diesel, Mechanic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and Mechanic Auto Electrical And Electronics.
Candidates who are selected under the advertised posts have to undergo a one-year training as well. They will be paid stipend during their training as per the rules of State of Chhattisgarh. Their training is terminated after the completion of the training session.
To apply for these posts, candidates must have passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent. Moreover, they must also possess ITI course in relevant trade as well to apply for Apprenticeship. The candidates’ should have completed 15 years of age while applying. Their age should not be more than that of 24 years as on July 01, 2020. Age limit is relaxed by 05 years for SC/ ST candidates, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for Ex-servicemen and PWD.
To apply for the Apprenticeship program, candidates must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria first. Thereafter, aspirants can proceed to submit their applications online, apprenticeshipindia.org. If a candidate who is applying for this recruitment belong to SC/ ST/ OBC category have to opt for the relevant category. They have to upload recent caste/ EWS certificate issued by the competent authority. Also, aspirants have to upload soft/ scanned copy of present passport size colour photograph and scanned signature as well. No hard copy of the application should be sent to the Raipur division or Wagon Repair Shop/ Raipur conducting body.
Selection of candidates is based on the aggregate marks obtained in 10th class and ITI exam. The shortlisted candidates are then called for medical examination. Selection aspirants are advised to bring a medical certificate at the time of document verification.
