The COVID19 pandemic has caused a 7-month disruption in the Indian Education system. Schools, colleges and educational institutes have been forced to improvise their teaching methods to remain afloat. India has also witnessed a fall in the number of active Business schools in the country in the last few years. The number of B-schools fell from 3,450 in 2015-16 to 3,037 in 2019-20. However, with the COVID19 pandemic, B-schools are given the opportunity of innovation in terms of infrastructure and research. They are also given the chance to come up with various post-COVID business models to help companies survive these severe circumstances. During these times, the Marketing and Development Research Associates (MDRA), a Delhi-based market research organization conducted a survey to find out the top 10 Government B- schools in the country.
MDRA conducted a survey based on various parameters such as selection process, governance and establishment, learning experience, living experience, future orientation and placement performance. Each factor added a different weightage to the overall score of the college. MDRA also considered certain eligibility criteria for the survey such as the B-school must offer fulltime classroom management programmes, must be established at least 5 years ago with a minimum of 3 graduated batches. India Today announced the top 10 Government B-schools based on this comprehensive survey conducted by MDRA.
