Indian Air Force (IAF) was expected to announce the STAR 01/2021 Airmen 2021 results in the second week of August 2021. However, the Central Airmen Selection Board (CASB) issued a notice on the official website airmenselection.cdac.in, declaring the delay in result announcement, due to certain administrative reasons. The Airmen Group X and Y 2021 exam was conducted from July 12 to 18, 2021. Authorities have advised the candidates to visit the official portal consistently to get all the important updates. At the same time, they must also keep track of their email for any intimation about the results.
Based on previous-year records, the Airmen Group X and Y 2021 results were expected to come out in the second week of August. For example, last year, the recruitment exam was conducted on November 04, 2020. Results for the same were announced 23 days later, on November 27, 2020. The year before, in 2019, CASB authorities conducted the selection test from March 14 to 17. Results were subsequently, announced on April 09, 2019. Here again, there was a 23-day gap between the last day of the exam and the result declaration.
Even in 2018, the IAF Airmen exam was conducted from September 13 to 16. Results for the same were announced 22 or 23 days after, on October 09, 2018. Due to these consistent trends in the past, candidates hoped for the results to come out in the second week of August, preferably by August 09 or 10, 2021. However, more than two weeks have passed and the results are yet to be announced. With just 5 days left for the month to end, results may come out latest by the first week of September 2021.
After the declaration of results, the next step for shortlisted candidates is to complete the fitness tests. If they fulfil all the medical standards, candidates will get recruited into the Indian Air Force. However, to appear for the fitness tests, candidates must score equal to more than the cut-off marks. These cut-offs will be announced by CASB authorities post result declaration.
The IAF Airmen 2021 recruitment is an elaborate selection process comprising of three phases. The first phase is the written exam, results for which are expected to come out soon. The second phase comprises the Physical Fitness Test, Adaptability Test-I and Adaptability Test-II. Finally, the third phase consists of the medical examination. This will decide whether the candidate is fit or unfit to serve in the Indian Air Force.
