The Union Public Service Commission conducted the National Defence Academy (NDA) 1 2021 exam on April 18, 2021 earlier this year. Now, with the NDA 2 2021 registrations set to end on June 29, 2021, aspirants are eagerly waiting for the UPSC to release the result of the NDA 1 2021 exam. The NDA 1 2021 result is expected to release anytime by the end of this month i.e. June 2021 now.
Based on previous few year’s schedule of release of the NDA written result by the Union Public Service Commission, the NDA 1 2021 result should have been released by June 15, 2021. This is because save last year, the UPSC had released the NDA written result within 54 to 58 days during the previous iterations of the exam.
Last year, both sessions of the NDA exam were held together as a combined test on September 06, 2021 owing to the pandemic. The UPSC released the result after 33 days i.e., on October 09, 2021. On the other hand in 2018 and 2019, the UPSC conduct the NDA 1 written exams in April and the result was released after 54 days and 58 days respectively.
On the basis such a schedule for the release of the NDA 1 2021 result during the last few years, it was earlier anticipated that the UPSC will release the NDA 1 2021 result by June 15, 2021. However, till now, the Commission has not released the NDA 1 2021 result and now, the result is expected to release on the official website i.e., upsc.gov.in by the end of this month. It may be noted that the UPSC has not however specified any exact date of release of the NDA 1 2021 result yet.
An important factor that advocates the fact that the NDA 1 2021 result may release anytime now is that the NDA 2 2021 registrations are already ongoing. The UPSC NDA 2 2021 registrations commenced on June 09, 2021 and the last date to register online and fill up the application form is June 29, 2021. It is important that the NDA 1 2021 result be known before the registration window closes so that candidates, who have already taken the exam once this year, can decide on the basis of the result, whether they have to appear in the exam again in the second session.
Only if the NDA 1 2021 result is released before June 29, 2021, i.e., before the NDA 2 2021 registration window closes, candidates will be able to know their qualifying status in the exam and accordingly decide if they need to appear in the exam again in an attempt to qualify through it. If the result is released anytime after June 29, 2021, then candidates who do not qualify will not have the opportunity to appear in the second session exams this year and will have to wait for the UPSC to again conduct the exam next year.
With the NDA 2 2021 registrations scheduled to close on June 29, 2021 i.e., last but one day of June 2021, it can therefore be expected that the UPSC will release the NDA 1 2021 result before that. Thus, there is significant possibility of the NDA 1 2021 result of the written exam to be released very soon i.e. within the next seven days time before the NDA 2 2021 registrations close.
