District Health & Family Welfare Society has published an official recruitment notification to fill up vacancies for the post of ASHA Workers in 04 Sub-Divisions of the Hooghly district of West Bengal

District Health and Family Welfare Society, Hooghly is inviting applications in the prescribed proforma to fill up 110 vacancies for ASHA workers. The vacancies are advertised through an official recruitment notification published at the website wbhealth.gov.in. Eligible and interested candidates can apply in the provided format till the last date of receipt of applications. The last date to send applications along with copies of relevant supporting documents is August 31, 2020. The application process is ongoing since August 01, 2020.

As per the official employment notification released by the West Bengal Health Department, there are 110 vacancies available for the aforementioned post. The vacancies are available across four Sub-Divisions of the district of Hooghly. 08 vacancies are available in the Arambagh Sub-Division. 16 vacancies are available in the Chandannagar Sub-Division. 21 vacancies are available in the Serampore Sub-Division and 65 vacancies are available in the Sadar Sub-Division.

Candidates are encouraged to download and go through the official recruitment notification to ensure that they fulfil all terms and conditions of the recruitment before forwarding their applications. One must note that the vacancies are to be filled up only by appointing eligible female candidates who may be married, widowed or divorced. In addition, the applicants must be permanent residents of the Sub-Division/Village that they are applying for. The age of the applicants as on January 01, 2020, must be within the range of 30 to 40 years. However, SC/ST candidates within the age range of 22 years to 40 years are also eligible to apply. Candidates must have passed the Madhyamik or equivalent examination. Candidates having higher qualifications are also eligible to apply although their higher qualification will not be considered as a parameter for selection.

The proforma for filling up the application form is appended with the official recruitment notification available at the website of the West Bengal Health Department as specified here. Interested candidates must download the notice and the application form from the website. Information in the application form should be carefully entered. Incomplete applications and applications containing wrongful information are not accepted. Any request in this regard at later stages are not entertained by the recruiting authority. Candidates may note that there are no application fee involved in this recruitment. However, candidates must ensure that they are eligible as per the terms and conditions specified in the detailed recruitment notification before applying for the recruitment. Along with the application form, candidates must also enclose the specified documents in the form of self-attested photocopies and affix a recent passport-sized photograph on the application form. The complete list of specified documents to be enclosed can be checked from the official recruitment notification. Applications must be submitted to the corresponding BDO office of the candidate.
