Richmond Tutoring, an online tutoring company based in Twickenham, south-west London, began rolling out a free family and tutor portal on 1 November 2026. The portal, at my.richmondtutoring.co.uk, brings a child’s lessons, homework and progress into one place for parents, and gives tutors the tools to plan, record and mark their lessons.
The launch comes as Year 11 students sit their November mock exams.
What parents can see
Every lesson appears in a calendar. After each lesson, the tutor adds a note setting out the topics covered, the student’s effort and the next steps. Homework is set and handed in online, and the marks are shown to parents.
A “journey” page shows each child’s working grade against their target grade, so parents can see the gap between the two. Parents can also add their child’s school tests and mock exams, so that tutors can plan lessons around them.
Messages between families and tutors are kept in one place, and contact details are hidden automatically.
What tutors get
On the tutor side, the portal provides a timetable with a one-click Join button for online lessons, and tutors record attendance and write their lesson notes in the same place. A homework builder draws on more than 7,300 questions and 714 GCSE past papers.
Work handed in by students is first checked against the mark scheme automatically. The tutor then reviews it, and only after that do marks reach the family.
Access and cost
There is no separate charge for using it: the portal is free for every family that tutors with the company. It works on phones and computers and does not require an app. Users sign in with a one-time link sent to their email address.
Anand Meena, co-founder of Richmond Tutoring, said: “Parents tell us the hardest part of paying for tutoring is not knowing what is actually happening. Now every lesson leaves a record: what was taught, what homework was set and whether it came back.”
