Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has announced the tentative exam dates for VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) 2021. The upcoming exam is scheduled to be held in 2nd or 3rd week of April 2021. Exact date for VITEEE is expected to be out soon, probably in the month of December or January. Along with this, the University has also started online registration for VITEEE 2021. The registration is open online, at vit.ac.in and the last date to apply is March 30, 2021.
To apply for VITEEE, candidates need to visit the official website and click on the red tab for “VITEEE 2021 / B.Tech Admissions 2021”. On clicking the tab, candidates are directed to the registration page. Here, the candidates need to enter name, resident status, date of birth, gender, mobile number, and e-mail id. Once registered, the candidates login and fill details in the application form of VITEEE 2021.
After submitting the details, candidates have to pay application fee. The amount of fee is Rs 1150, if applying online via web, and Rs. Rs 1050 if applying via app. Candidates applying for a test centre abroad are required to pay USD 50 as application fee. The fee amount can be paid online via net banking, debit card, credit card, etc.
After submitting the fee, candidates need to upload images. Candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature in accordance with the dimensions prescribed by the University. The last step involves uploading of photograph and signature.
VITEEE is a national level entrance exam for admission of students in VIT Vellore, Chennai, AP, and Bhopal. The exam is held online, as a computer based test. It is a 2 hours 30 minute exam, in which candidates have to solve 125 questions of 1 mark each. The questions in the exam are of MCQ type and are asked from maths / biology, physics, chemistry, aptitude, and English. There is no negative marking in the exam and the candidates who qualify are called for the counselling and seat allotment.
