Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Limited is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill up 341 vacancies for Managerial posts. The vacancies are for the posts of Assistant Manager and Junior Manager in different categories. AEGCL has published a detailed advertisement in this regard at the website aegcl.co.in. Aspiring candidates can submit online applications from December 09, 2020 to December 18, 2020.
The vacancies are bifurcated across Group A category containing the posts for Assistant Manager and Group B category containing the posts for Junior Manager. In all, there are 114 vacancies for the Group A Assistant Manager posts and 227 for the Group B Junior Manager posts. The vacancies are further bifurcated in each group as per the discipline of the post including Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, IT and HR for Assistant Manager and Electrical, Mechanical, IT and Civil for Junior Manager. For Group A posts, the age limit is 21 to 44 years while for the Group B posts, the age limit is 18 to 44 years. It is mandatory for applicants to be a domicile of Assam and an Indian candidate.
Candidates must have a full-time B.E./B.Tech qualification in the relevant discipline in order to apply for the posts of Assistant Manager. However, for the Human Resource discipline, candidates must have a full-time MBA/PGDM qualification with relevant specialization. On the other hand, candidates intending to apply for the Group B posts of Junior Manager must have a Diploma in Engineering in relevant trade.
AEGCL will conduct selection test for shortlisting of eligible applicants. A computer based test will be conducted as per schedule to be notified later. The test will carry 100 marks and will be divided into two sections one of which, will be based on the core subject. The other section will be based on General studies and aptitude. Candidates will be allowed 120 minutes to complete the MCQ type test. Detailed syllabus is available at the official website.
Candidates shortlisted through the CBT will be called for document verification and personal interview round which will carry 18 marks. Based on the merit in the exam and the performance in the document verification and interview stage, the provisional merit lists will be drawn and published through the official website.
Intending candidates must apply online at the official website only as no other mode of application is accepted for this recruitment. Candidates must pay an application fee of Rs 800 for General/OBC/MOBC candidates. On the other hand, for SC/ST candidates, the application fee is Rs 400. PWD candidates are not required to pay any fee.
