Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education, Dehradun, has extended the registration deadline for the upcoming JEEP 2022 examination. The registration process which began on January 20, shall continue till May 15, as updated on the official website ubtejeep.co.in. All those who are yet to fill up the online form, have more than a month’s time to do so. it is interesting to note that the Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnics (JEEP) 2022 exam date is yet to be announced.
On the official website, it states “Update Soon” underneath the exam date and timing sections. So, candidates are advised to keep track of the official website for important updates in this regard.
Previously, the deadline was March 31
The Uttarakhand Education Board had initially, begun the online application process for JEEP 2022 on January 20. Similarly, the offline application process commenced on January 25. Both were scheduled to end on the same date i.e., March 31, 2022.
It, therefore, came as surprise when the board decided on extending the registration deadline by 45-46 days to May 15, 2022. Although the schedule has been revised, no reason has been given for this extension. However, one obvious reason would be to encourage more people to fill-up the form and apply for the JEEP 2022 examination.
Both online and offline registration extended
The state education board is conducting the JEEP 2022 registration process through the online and offline mode. The former requires a candidate to fill and submit the form on the official website uptejeep.co.in. The latter requires an aspirant to collect the form from any government-aided or recognized polytechnic organization. After filling-up the form, the candidate must attach the required documents to the form and submit it to the authorities. It is assumed that the deadline for both has been extended.
JEEP 2022 Exam Fees
Although the UBTER JEEP 2022 schedule for both offline and online application processes differ slightly, the application fee remains the same. For candidates belonging to reserved categories like SC and ST, the registration fee is Rs 500. In the case of other categories, the registration fee is Rs 800.
All aspirants are advised to take a careful look at the eligibility criteria mentioned in the JEEP 2022 information bulletin. These criteria are pertaining to education, physical fitness, and age. Aspirants have more than month’s time to understand and ascertain their eligibility criteria as well as educational expectations before submitting the form. This will avoid any mishaps at the later stage.
