The NEET UG 2026 Admit Card is one of the most awaited documents for medical aspirants across India. With the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG 2026) scheduled for May 3, 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the admit card in the last week of April 2026, tentatively around April 29, 2026. Candidates can download it from the official website: neet.nta.nic.in.

Before the admit card, NTA has already released the NEET UG 2026 City Intimation Slip on April 12, 2026. This document informs registered candidates about the city allotted for their examination centre. It is important to note that the city slip is NOT the admit card and cannot be used for entry to the examination hall.

This year, the exam will be held across 552 cities in India and 14 cities abroad, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in pen-and-paper (offline) mode. A record ~26 lakh candidates have registered for NEET UG 2026 — the highest ever.

Many candidates are confused between the city intimation slip and the actual admit card. Here is the key difference:

  • City Intimation Slip: Only shows the allotted exam city. Released on April 12, 2026. Cannot be used for exam hall entry.
  • Admit Card: Contains the full examination centre address, candidate details, reporting time, exam instructions, and photograph. This is the mandatory entry document.

What’s New in NEET UG 2026?

NTA has introduced several significant changes for NEET UG 2026 this year:

  • Live Photo Capture: During form filling, candidates were required to upload a live photograph matched with the Aadhaar database.
  • Aadhaar-Based eKYC: Aadhaar card was strongly recommended as the primary identity proof for a smooth verification process.
  • Record Registration: Approximately 26 lakh candidates have registered — a new all-time record for NEET UG.
  • Scribe Portal: NTA opened a dedicated scribe details portal for PwBD candidates (deadline was April 21, 2026).
