The State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad has released the official notification regarding the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) on its official website. The online application form for POLYCET 2022 will be available on the official website of POLYCET polycetts.nic.in from the second week of April 2022. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on June 30, at selected centers in the state. POLYCET is conducted to provide admissions to various engineering and non-engineering diploma courses offered in various institutions in the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
TS POLYCET Important Dates
The online application form will be available from the second week of April on the official website. Candidates can apply for the examination till June 04 without a late fee and till June 05, with a late fee of INR 100. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on June 30, after the board examinations have concluded. The result of the POLYCET is expected to be released 12 days after the conduct of the examination. The admissions shall be based on the basis of Web Counseling, where the qualifying candidates can choose any courses in any Polytechnic in the order of preference and the allotment shall be made based on the merit list and other criteria as applicable.
TS POLYCET Application Fee, Eligibility Criteria
Candidates belonging to the General Category should pay INR 450 and those from SC/ST should pay INR 250 as application fees while filling the online application form. A late fee of INR 100 will be charged in addition to this if the candidate fails to register before the deadline.
Candidates must be an Indian national and must be a resident of the state of Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh. A reservation of 5% seats is available for students belonging to the other states under the Global category. Those students will be selected on the basis of their merit in the Class 10 examination. The students from Telangana/ AP must have qualified the Class 10 examination from any recognized board with Mathematics as one of the subjects and a minimum of 35% marks as aggregate. Different diploma courses require separate eligibility criteria as detailed in the information brochure.

TS POLYCET Exam Pattern
The examination will be of a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes with 150 Multiple Choice Questions. There will be a total of 60 questions from Mathematics and 30 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates seeking admission to Agriculture and Veterinary Diploma courses should attempt the Biology questions. Two separate ranks will be generated for Maths, Physics, Chemistry (120 marks) and Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The minimum qualifying marks for the examination is 30%.
