The selection of the candidates in the UPTET exam is solely based on the performance of the candidates in the UPTET 2022 examination. The board usually releases a merit list with the names of those who successfully surpass the minimum qualifying marks. Candidates who find a name in the final merit list are considered for the next round of the selection process i.e. document verification.
UPTET Minimum Qualifying Marks 2022
The board has predetermined the minimum qualifying marks for the candidates who have appeared for the UPTET 2022 exam.
As per that, candidates who belong to the unreserved category have to score 60% of the total marks. This makes 90 marks the minimum marks for the general candidates.
Whereas for the reserved categories including OBC, SC and ST, the minimum marks are revised and that makes it to 55% of the total maks i.e. 82.5 marks.
Those who score marks more than or equal to these marks on the basis of the category are considered to have qualified for the exam. Whereas, those who fail to do the same are disqualified from the selection process.
