Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has today, December 28, 2021, announced the merit list for the National Defence Academy (NDA) I 2021 recruitment. The merit list has been uploaded in PDF format on the official portal upsc.gov.in. This merit list As per the merit list, a total of 517 candidates have been recommended for training in the armed forces. Names of these candidates have been specified in the PDF along with three important details – 1. Marks obtained in written exam, 2. Marks obtained in SSB Interview and 3. Total marks.

UPSC had already announced the NDA & NA I 2021 results on December 18, 2021, whereby, candidates could come to know about their shortlisting status. Today, however, the commission has specified the marks obtained by each recommended candidate in both rounds.
Earlier, UPSC had conducted the NDA & NA I 2021 written examination on April 18. Thereafter, a list of shortlisted candidates for the interview round was conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB). This board comes under the ambit of the Defence Ministry of India.
The recruitment drive was meant for inducting eligible and qualified individuals into the Army, Air Force, and Navy -three branches of the Indian Armed Forces. Recommended candidates will now undergo training as part of the 147th course of NDA and NA for the 109th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC).
