Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2022 prelims. The notification has been released on the official website upsc.gov.in. Candidates interested in applying for this recruitment drive can do so from today onwards, on the official portal. The online registration process shall remain open till February 22, 2022. The UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2022 is all set to be conducted on June 05, 2022, along with Forest Services exam.
Before filling-up the form, it is important for each candidate to ascertain his/her eligibility for this recruitment. So that their forms are not rejected at a later stage. The UPSC CSE Notification 2022 clearly specifies the eligibility criteria, number of vacancies, selection process and schedule.
This year, UPSC will be inducting qualified and eligible individuals to fill-up a total of 861 vacancies. Compared to the 2021 session offering 712 spots, this year has witnessed a jump in the total vacancies.

UPSC CSE 2022 Important Dates
According to UPSC CSE 2022 notification, the application process is being organised through the online mode on the official website upsc.gov.in. Candidates have been given 3-weeks’ time i.e., from February 02 to 22, 2022, to fill and submit the form.
Thereafter, the preliminary exam is all set to be conducted on June 05, 2022, at selected centres across the country. Both papers under the preliminary session will be held through the OMR-based pen-and-paper format.
UPSC CSE 2022 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for UPSC IFS 2022 recruitment drive, candidate must be a citizen of India, Bhutan, Nepal or any other country approved by the commission. Furthermore, he.she should have completed 21 years but not have exceeded the age of 32 years. In terms of educational requisite, UPSC expects the applicant to have completed his graduation in a relevant field from any recognised university.
Similarly, in case of Civil Services or IAS, candidate must be a citizen of India, Bhutan, Nepal or any other country approved by the commission. Furthermore, he.she should have completed 21 years but not have exceeded the age of 32 years. In terms of educational requisite, UPSC expects the applicant to have completed his graduation in a relevant field from any recognised university.
The minimum and maximum age limitations are applicable for unreserved or General category candidates. Reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC have been given certain age-related relaxations.
