UPSC CDS 2021

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to conduct the Combined Defence Services or CDS 2 examination tomorrow, i.e. November 14, 2021. This recruitment examination will be conducted in various centres and venues across the country. The e-admit cards for the examination have been released on the official UPSC website – upsc.gov.in. Candidates who are yet to download the admit cards must download the same at the earliest. Being one of the most competitive examinations, CDS 2 has certain do’s and don’ts that candidates must strictly follow. Take a look at what they are.

Dos

#1. Candidates have to take a printout of the downloaded CDS 2 admit card and produce it at the allotted venue. It must be noted that no paper admit card will be issued by the commission.

#2. Along with the admit cards, they also have to carry the proof of identity as entered while filling the online application form. The ID proof can be an Aadhar card, Voter ID, PAN card, passport, driving license, or any other photo ID card as issued by the state or central government.

#3. There can be cases where the photograph of the candidate is not visible or printed on the admit cards. In that case, candidates should bring three identical photographs along with the printed admit card at the examination venue.

#4. Please read the important information that is detailed in the admit cards carefully. A black ballpoint pen must be carried to the examination hall.

#5. The entry to the examination venue will be closed ten minutes before the commencement of the examination. Hence, examinees must reach their respective venues well in advance since no candidate will be allowed to enter after entries are closed.

#6. Every candidate must wear masks and face as it is a mandatory instruction. They can also carry their hand sanitizer but in a transparent bottle. In addition to these, one has to follow all COVId-19 protocols like social distancing and personal hygiene.

Don’ts

#1. Candidates should not wait till the last minute to download the admit cards. They should download the same well in advance.

#2. The admit card mentions the examination venue where candidates will appear for the CDS 2 exam. They should not reach any other venue except the one mentioned in the admit cards.

#3. All electronic and communication devices like mobile phones, pagers, pen drives, smartwatches, etc. are banned inside the examination hall. Hence, candidates must refrain from carrying these items.

#4. All kinds of valuable and costly items along with bangs are not allowed inside the examination venue. It is advised not to bring one.
