IIT Kharagpur has extended the last date for the GATE 2022 correction facility by 2 days. The correction facility that was supposed to end by November 12 will now close on November 15, 2021. Candidates who are willing to make changes in their GATE application form 2022 can do the same by visiting the official website, gate.iitkgp.ac.in.
IIT Kharagpur had earlier notified the candidates regarding the discrepancies in their application form. These changes could be made without paying any extra charges. However, if candidates wish to make changes out of the will, they can do so by paying extra charges. The charge list has been uploaded on the official site.
GATE 2022 examination is scheduled to be held on February 04, 05, 11, 12, and 13, February 2021. Whereas the admit card for the exam shall be released on January 03, 2022. The GATE 2022 final result is expected to be released on March 17, 2021.
GATE examination is held in the online mode for a duration of 3 hours. The computer-based test has 65 questions accounting for 100 marks based on the Engineering discipline opted by the candidates. Out of 65 questions, 10 are from the GA section while the remaining are based on the subject. The candidates have to answer two types of questions i.e. MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) and NAT (Numerical Answer Type). There is a prescribed negative marking of 1/3rd for 1 mark question and 2/3rd for 2 mark questions but no negative marking is applicable for NAT questions.
Making changes in the GATE 2022 application form is very simple and candidates have to just follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of IIT Kharagpur, gate.iitkgp.ac.in
Step 2: Click on the GATE 2022 login option on the homepage and proceed
Step 3: Next, log in with the application number and password and click on the edit option on the next page
Step 4: After this, make the relevant changes in the GATE 2022 application form and move to the payment option
Step 5: Finally, pay the fee as prescribed to make the changes in the application form and log out of the portal
GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is held annually for candidates who are willing to take up admission in different IITs in the M.SC, M.Tech courses etc. Candidates post clearing the examination can either go for admission or also use the valid score card of GATE to apply for recruitment in top PSUs.
