UNICEF is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for recruitment of 08 Public Health/Immunization Consultants to support COVID-19 vaccine introduction. UNICEF is conducting recruitment with the purpose of engaging 08 Public Health/Immunization Consultants. The consultants are required to support COVID-19 vaccine introduction in the North East States. Selected candidates are to be engaged in the North-Eastern states of Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim.
Selected candidates are to be appointed on a contractual basis for a period of 11.5 months. The initial contractual employment period is from January 2021 to mid-December 2021. Employment contract may be extended up to mid-2022 based on the requirements of the program, funds and performance of the incumbents.

Interested candidates are advised to read the detailed notification carefully before applying. The minimum eligibility conditions must be fulfilled before submitting the applications. Candidates having a Graduate Medical qualification viz. MBBS, BDS, BAMS or BHMS are eligible to apply. Applicants must also have an Advanced Degree/PG Diploma in Public Health/Community Medicine/Community Health Administration/Health Care Management/Hospital Management.
Candidates must also have the requisite work experience to apply for the recruitment. At least 3 years of experience is required in the management of public health programs. Candidates must have been engaged in such fields with responsibility for independently overseeing and handling cold chain and logistics aspects of the Universal Immunization Programme at the national/state/district levels.
Applicants must also have necessary soft skills such as fluency in English language. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, presentation and analytical skills. Candidates are required to exhibit strong interpersonal relations and team-work skills. Candidates must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel. PowerPoint and Internet Surfing.
Evaluation is to be done on the basis of Technical Score and Financial Score. For technical evaluation, total weightage of marks is distributed across educational qualification (min 21/max 30), experience (min 14/max 20) and interview performance (min 14/max 20). The total marks for evaluation are distributed across technical and financial score in the ratio of 70:30.
