National Testing Agency has recently released the provisional answer key for UGC NET exam conducted from November 04 to 13, 2020. Aspirants who have appeared for UGC NET June exam can check their respective answer keys from ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The exam took place from September to November 2020 sporadically. The answer keys for September 24, 2020, to October 17, 2020, were already released on November 06, 2020.
To get the UGC NET answer keys, candidates have to browse the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. On reaching the home page of the website, they have to navigate to the ‘view question paper/answer key objections’ section. Then, a login page opens up where aspirants have to enter the application number, date of birth. Now, a dashboard displays on the screen with various options. Candidates just have to navigate to the ‘please click here for a display of your question paper and your responses’. Hereafter, the answer key for the subject candidate has appeared for displays on the screen.
Other than the UGC NET answer key, NTA has also invited objections against these provisional answer key. So, the candidates who have appeared for the exam between November 04 to 13, 2020 can submit their representations online. They have to provide supporting evidence along with the objections. For the challenge, they have to make a payment amounting to Rs. 1000/- per question. The payment can be made online using debit card/ credit card/ net banking. However, if a challenge is found correct then the amount paid to raise the objection i.e Rs 1000 is refunded to the candidate’s bank account directly.
The facility to challenge UGC NET answer key has started from November 16, 2020. Candidates must visit the UGC NET website, (ugcnet.nta.nic.in) to send objections. They have to reach the login page and enter the application number and date of birth. Then, tap on ‘click to view/ challenge answer key’ to submit objections. Aspirants will now notice question IDs in sequential order. Click on the desired question and proceed to upload the documents. Now, proceed to pay the processing fees online. Before final submission candidates can also modify their claims by clicking on ‘modify your claims’. The last date to submit objections and pay the processing fee is November 17, 2020.
Once the procedure of inviting objections is over, NTA publishes the final answer key online. It is expected that UGC NET result 2020 will be out in the first week of December 2020. Aspirants are advised to visit the UGC NET website periodically to get the latest updates on UGC NET 2020.
