GATE 2021: SBI refunds nearly 5000 duplicate fee payments, Branch wise exam dates soon

SBI has recently conducted approximately 5000 refunds to GATE 2021 registered candidates who had paid the application fee of RS.750 twice to complete the process.

Application fee refund process for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 has started. Recently, State Bank of India (SBI) refunded application fee against duplicate payment, to around 5000 candidates. The combine list of the candidates, to whom the fee has been refunded, is available on the official website of GATE 2021, which is gate.iitb.ac.in. In it, the GATE 2021 enrollment id, SBI actual reference number, SBI actual corp. reference number, and amount refunded is mentioned. Candidates can have a look at it to see if their fee amount has been refunded yet or not.

Apart from this, if there is any payment or refund related issue to GATE 2021 aspirants, they can contact at SBI at [email protected] or (+91) 022 – 27560266, 27560267. However, if the payment related problems are through UPI then the candidates need to contact the bank at [email protected] or [email protected]

In any written or verbal communication with the bank, the candidates need to mention their GATE 2021 Enrollment ID, date of payment and details of the amount paid.

For now, the refund is only applicable in case of those payments where candidates paid the application fee more than once. However, in case of any other payment query, candidates can contact the bank.

GATE is one of the most significant PG level entrance exam. As per reports, around 8,82,684 candidates have applied for the exam. This year, the exam is due to be held on February 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14. The branch wise schedule for GATE shall be out soon. It is expected that even this year, paper for ME and CE will be held in multiple sessions.

Once the schedule of GATE is out, IIT Bombay will release the admit card for the exam. The release date for GATE 2021 admit card is January 08, 2021. IIT-B will release it at GATE Online Application Processing Systems (GOAPS) and candidates will be able to download it as pdf by entering enrollment id, password, and the security code. Admit card of GATE is an important document which will contain details such as exam time, date, center address, instructions, etc. On the exam day, candidates will have to carry the admit card as a printout.

GATE 2021 will be a 3 hours examination. The exam will be held for 27 subject paper, including the newest additions – Environmental Science and Engineering (ES) and Humanities and Social Sciences (XH). The question paper of GATE comprises of 65 questions which are two types – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. The examination is of a total of 100 marks – 15 marks for general aptitude and remaining 85 marks allotted for the specific subject-related questions.

Candidates who will qualify GATE 2021 will get admission in postgraduate courses and doctorate courses in the fields of science, technology and architecture, in IITs, IISc Bangalore, NITs, CFITs, etc.
