Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) today announced the exam date of Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test. As per notification, TNTET Exam Date 2019 are June 8, 2019, and June 9, 2019. First date is for Paper I, and second is for Paper II. On both days, exam will be held from 10 AM to 1 PM.
TRB published exam date of TNTET 2019 vide a notification at official website trb.tn.nic.in. Top most scrolling notification on the website reads Date of Examination : TNTET 2019 | PAPER I – 08-06-2019 | PAPER II – 09-06-2019. Paper I – 08.06.2019 (Saturday 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM)
Paper II – 09.06.2019 (Sunday 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM)
This notification comes a little more than a month after registration closed. Next, hall ticket of TNTET 2019 is looked forward to be released at trb.tn.nic.in. Last time exam was on April 29 and 30, and hall ticket released on April 13. Hence in tune with previous timeline, this time hall ticket is likely to release in third or fourth week of May.
Teaching aspirants who have applied for TNTET 2019 and will be getting hall tickets, will get to know of their assigned exam centre via it. Exam is taking place in all districts of Tamilnadu. However candidates need to appear in that centre only which has been assigned to them via hallticket.
Paper 1 will have 30 questions each from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I ( Tamil / Telugu / Malayalam / Kannada / Urdu), Language II English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies.
Whereas Paper 2 will have 30 questions each from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I ( Tamil / Telugu / Malayalam / Kannada / Urdu), Language II English, as well as 60 questions on Mathematics and Science for Mathematics and Science teacher, and Social Science for Social Science Teacher.
In both papers, candidates get 1 mark for correct answer. There is no negative marking. Thus both papers are of maximum 150 marks. Only those who secure 60% or more marks in result of TNTET will qualify. However, there is 5% relaxation for BC, BC(M), MBC/DNC, SC, SC(A), ST and Person with Disability Candidates.
In India, Teacher Eligibility Tests are held on national as well as state levels. National level test is CTET 2019 which is scheduled to be held on July 9, 2019. At state level they are held by specific govt appointed organizations, such as TRB is conducting TNTET. It is a basic requirement for those who wish to teach classes I to VIII to qualify TET.
