TNPSC Assistant Public Prosecutor, APO 2021 Notification Out; Apply by 24 September

The basic eligibility criteria to apply for the TNPSC APO 2021 is having a B.L. degree. Additionally, the candidates should be a member of Bar and have adequate knowledge of Tamil.

TNPSC Assistant Public Prosecutor, APO 2021 Notification Out

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has released the official notification for TNPSC Assistant Public Prosecutor on its website, tnpsc.gov.in. The application form filling will commence from August 25, 2021, and will end on September 24, 2021. The written exam for the post of APO-Grade II is going to be held on November 06, 2021, from 10 AM to 12 PM. The commission has released a total of 50 vacancies for the aforesaid post. The maximum age limit to apply for the TNPSC APO Grade II exam is 38 years for the Unreserved candidates. The candidates appointed as Assistant Public Prosecutor will be eligible to receive salary as per Level 22, and Grade Pay of Rs. 56100 -177500.

The educational qualification required for TNPSC APO Grade II is having a B.L. degree from a recognised university. Along with this, the candidate should be a member of BAR and he must be proficient in the Tamil language. The required experience for applying to the Assistant Public Prosecutor is having an active practice in Criminal court for not less than five years. 

The candidates willing to apply for the TNPSC APO Grade II has to follow certain steps to apply for the aforesaid post:

Step 1: The candidate need to visit the official website of TNPSC, tnpsc.gov.in

Step 2: On the homepage, they need to click on the Applicant’s dashboard and then register using the “One Time Registration” option,

Step 3: Thereafter, candidates have to mention their Login details and personal details i.e. name, mobile number, gender, dob, religion etc and then click on the submit and continue. Once the OTR is complete, candidates can note down their login id and password.

Step 4: In the next step, the candidate has to mention his academic qualification in detail, address and then click on submit and continue. 

Step 5: Thereafter, candidates have to upload their scanned photograph and signature in the specified limit. 

Step 6: In the end, the candidates are required to pay the application fee as prescribed for their category and then download the application form for future reference.

According to the official notice, the size limit for the scanned photograph is 20kb to 50kb. While the same for the scanned signature is 10kb to 20kb. The registration fee for the TNPSC APO Grade II is Rs 150 and the registration will be valid for a period of five years.

The selection process of TNPSC Assistant Public Prosecutor includes a Preliminary test, Mains exam and viva-voice exam. The preliminary exam will be a two-hour duration objective test having 100 questions from five subjects viz. Law -1, Law -2, Law -3, Law – 4 and Aptitude and Mentality test. 

The Mains exam will also have four papers i.e. Law -1, Law -2, Law -3, Law – 4 and each paper will be held for a duration of 3 hours with a maximum of 100 marks. The Interview is the last stage of the selection process and it is held for 60 marks. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks scored in the Mains exam and Oral test.
