Government of Tamil Nadu has begun the registration process for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) 2021 today, July 26, 2021, on the official website tneaonline.org. This registration process began a few days after the state government announced the Class 12 board exam results. Candidates have been given time till August 24, 2021, to apply for B.E. and B.Tech. courses within the state. Thereafter, random number shall be released on August 24, 2021, whereas the ranking list is likely to be published on September 04, 2021. Thereafter, the consultation process is scheduled from September 07 to October 04, 2021. The state government is also conducting admission in full swing for other courses for the academic 2021-22.
TNEA 2021 registration process involves a total of 10 steps which can be completed on either of the two websites – tneaonline.org or tndte.gov.in. Firstly, candidates must register on the official website by clicking on the “click here for new registration’ option. They must enter their name, mobile number, email ID, date of birth, qualifying exam, etc. Thereafter, candidates must click on the “Save” option to continue with the remaining steps. By doing so, they will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number. Aspirants must enter this number in the space provided successfully register.
Now comes the part of filling the TNEA 2021 application form. In this form, candidates have to fill their personal details, reservation information, scholarship information, School of Study information, and Academic information. After filling all the information, candidates must preview their details to ensure that they are accurate and correct. Candidates must also remember to click on the ‘Save & Continue’ option to proceed to the various stages of application form.
The next step of TNEA 2021 registration process incudes the paying of application fee. General category candidates must pay Rs.500 as application fee whereas SC, ST and SCA candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu have to pay Rs.250. Candidates of each special reservation category must pay Rs.100 to apply for the TNEA 2021 counselling session.
Candidates must also upload original copies of certain documents to register for TNEA 2021. These documents include Class 10 marksheet, HSC Class 11 marksheet, HSC Class 12 marksheet, transfer certificate, permanent community certificate, income certificate (if applicable), nativity certificate, etc. Instructions to upload these documents shall be given in the certificate uploading link after successfully completing the registration process.
Aspirants who have completed the registration process must download their full-filled application form for their own reference. This downloaded copy must be present with the candidate at least until the counselling session gets completed. As of now, the session is due to take place from September 07 to October 04, 2021.
