Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has already commenced the SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2021 examination from November 16, 2021. The recruitment exam is taking place on 12 dates across a period of two months – November and December 2021. While the first 7 dates fall under November 2021, the remaining 5 are scheduled in December 2021.
Admit cards for the exam are already out on the official portal ssc.nic.in and SSC’s regional websites. All candidates are expected to appear for the exam as per the date mentioned in the admit cards. Here are more details about the SSC GD Constable 2021 exam.
As per the official schedule, SSC GD Constable 2021 exam is being conducted on November 16, 17, 18, 22, 24, 29, 30, and December 03, 07, 13, 14, and 15, 2021. The exam is aimed at filling a total of 25,271 vacancies under the GD Constable post. Close to 30 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the exam across the country, in the computer-based format.

Before the SSC GD Constable 2021 recruitment exam, all candidates are advised to download and print a copy of their admit cards from the official portal ssc.nic.in. Specific regional websites are also available such as sscnr.net.in (northern region), sscwr.net (western region), sscer.org (eastern region), sscsr.gov.in (southern region), ssc-cr.org (central region), and many more.
If the main SSC website is not functioning properly, candidates can use the regional website to access their GD Constable 2021 admit card. Since the admit card will act as an entry ticket to the exam centre, all candidates must carry this document for the exam. If not, candidates will not be permitted to appear for the recruitment exam. This is an important instruction that all candidates need to follow.
Due to the GD Constable 2021 recruitment drive, the commission will fulfill vacancies under different posts – Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Border Security Force (BSF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) & Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles. Based on the reservation and number of seats available, qualified candidates will be allotted to different posts.
SSC GD Constable 2021 recruitment exam will be held through the online mode for a duration of 90 minutes. The paper covers a total of 100 multiple-choice questions for a maximum of 100 marks. Those who score beyond the category cut-offs will be able to complete the remaining steps of the recruitment drive.
