SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Date 2021 Announced as 28-29 Jan, 6 Feb 2022; Check Syllabus and Exam Pattern

SSC CGL Tier 2 is a computer based objective test having four papers in total i.e. Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, General Studies and Statistics.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern 2021

Staff Selection Commission has announced the SSC CGL Tier 2 2021 exam dates in its official notice released on November 26, 2021. As per the notice, SSC CGL Tier 2 exam is scheduled to be held on January 28 and 29, 2022. Similarly, SSC CGL Tier 3 exam is going to be held on February 06, 2022.

The commission has also mentioned that these dates are tentative and subject to change if the Covid-19 situation suddenly blows out of proportion. However, candidates are advised to begin their preparation as it is highly unlikely for the exam dates to get postponed.

In other recent developments, SSC has released the SSC CGL Tier 1 result yesterday for candidates who have participated in the exam. According to the stats mentioned on the result notice, 5429 candidates are selected to appear in Tier-II (Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-IV) General Studies (Finance & Accounts), and Tier-III. Whereas, 11212 candidates have been selected to appear in Tier-II (Paper-I, Paper-II and
Paper-III) Statistics, and Tier-III. Finally, for Tier-II (Paper 1 and paper 2) and Tier III, 114135 candidates have been selected.

SSC CGL Tier 2 has two compulsory papers, General English and Quantitative Ability, and two optional papers, General Studies and Statistics. There are 100 questions from each subject, General English General Studies, and Statistics for a total of 200 marks. Similarly, the Quantitative Ability subject is going to account for 200 questions for 200 marks. Candidates will be provided 2 hours to complete each paper separately. A prescribed negative marking scheme equivalent to 25% of the total marks is assigned for wrong answers.

As, SSC CGL Tier 2 is roughly two months away, hence candidates can use the syllabus prescribed by the commission to prepare for the examination. Check out the SSC CGL Tier 2 subject wise important topics in the table mentioned below:

Candidates who successfully qualify the Tier 2, SSC CGL will be called to appear in Tier 3 i.e. Descriptive test. In this round, candidates will be asked to type the essay and letter online.
