The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has released the result for the Grade A phase 1. Candidates who have appeared for the examination on February 20, 2022, can now check the results from the official website – sebi.gov.in. Initially, the results were supposed to be released in the second week of March 2022 but got announced well before time. It must be noted that the results have been released in the form of merit lists containing the roll numbers of the candidates who have been shortlisted for phase 2 of the exam.
There are a total of five streams for which the merit lists have been published. Candidates can check the same from the table attached below.

Phase 2 Exam Date
SEBI will be conducting the phase 2 online examination except for paper 2 of the Information Technology stream on March 20, 2022. The examination for the remaining paper is going to be held on April 03, 2022. The admit cards for the examination are going to be released in due time on the official website – sebi.gov.in.
Phase 2 Syllabus & Pattern
There will be two papers in the phase 2 examination, each having 100 marks. It must be noted that the time duration and cut-off for each paper are going to be different. Also, the aggregate cut-off will be 50%. The subject-wise syllabus has been given below.
1. Paper 1
This paper of phase 2 of the SEBI grade 2 examination will be the same for all streams. It will be a descriptive test in English and will be aimed to test the drafting skills of the candidates. The maximum marks allotted to this paper is 100 and a duration of 60 minutes will be given to the candidates.
2. Paper 2
The second paper of the exam will be different depending on the streams of the candidates. Just like paper 1, this paper is going to be set for 100 marks. However, the time duration is different for each different.
- General Stream – There will be multiple choice questions (MCQs) on subjects like Commerce, Accountancy, Management, Finance, Costing, Companies Act and Economics. Duration – 40 minutes.
- Legal and Official Language – MCQs on specialized subjects related to the stream. Duration – 40 minutes.
- Research – MCQs on Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Finance and Commerce. Duration – 40 minutes.
- Information Technology – Coding Test for languages like C++, JAVA, Python. Duration – 180 minutes.
