SBI Clerk Exam Analysis 2021: July 13; Check Exam Review of Shift 1 & 2, Good Attempts

The overall level of difficulty of the 1st and 2nd Shifts of today's SBI Clerk Prelims Exam 2021 was between Easy to Moderate. The difficulty level of Reasoning was however easier in the 2nd Shift.

State Bank of India has concluded the first two shifts of the SBI Clerk Prelims Exam 2021 today on July 13, 2021. Today is the last day of the SBI Clerk 2021 Prelims Exam and the first two shifts were held from 09.00 AM to 10.00 AM and 11.30 AM to 12.30 PM. As per memory-based reports, the overall level of difficulty of the first two shifts of the exam was of the easy to the moderate difficulty level.

Candidates appearing in the next two shifts of the SBI Clerk Exam 2021 due today can check the shift-wise analysis of the first two shifts of the exam held today.

Shift 1

Difficulty Level

Overall, the level of difficulty of the Shift 1 exam was between Easy to Moderate. Among all the sections of the question paper, the Reasoning section was of a Moderate difficulty level although it was not hard.

The two other sections of the SBI Clerk 2021 Exam i.e. English Language and Quantitative Aptitude were of the Easy to Moderate difficulty level.

Number of Questions

As per the official notification of the SBI Clerk 2021 exam, the sections on Numerical & Reasoning ability consist of 35 questions each while the section on the English language consists of 30 questions.

Memory-based reports of the first shift exam held today indicate that majority of questions in the English section were from the topic of Reading Comprehension. Around 10 questions were asked from this section. Approximately 06 questions were asked from the Error Detection topic. As per reports, 04 questions were asked from Cloze Test.

In Reasoning, 10 questions each were asked from topics of Seating Arrangement and Puzzle. Questions were included from the Square and Circular seating arrangement. Questions were also asked from Day based and Box based puzzles. Other questions were from Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, and Mixed Series.

In the Quantitative Aptitude section of the Shift 1 exam, 10 questions each were asked from the sections of Simplification and Arithmetic. Besides, the paper also included 05 questions each from the topics of Data Interpretation and Wrong number series.

Good Attempts

Considering the level of difficulty and the number of questions asked from typical topics in the Shift 1 exam of SBI Clerk Prelims 2021 today, the overall number of good attempts in the first shift exam is envisaged to be within 68 to 75.

In Reasoning, the section with the hardest difficulty level, candidates are expected to attempt correctly 20-25 questions. In the English and Quantitative Aptitude sections, the number of good attempts is envisaged to be in the range of 23 to 26 questions.

Shift 2

Difficulty Level

Similar to the first shift of today’s SBI Clerk Prelims 2021 exam, the overall level of difficulty of the second shift exam was between the easy to moderate difficulty level. However, contrary to the first shift exam, in the second shift, the level of difficulty of the Reasoning section was the easiest.

The difficulty level of the English and Quantitative Reasoning sections remained unchanged from the first shift exam. Both these sections were of the easy to the moderate difficulty level.

Number of Questions

Similar to the previous shift, in the second shift exam, in the English section, the highest number of questions were asked from Reading Comprehension i.e., 10 questions. Besides, around 05 questions were asked from each of the topics of Error Detection, Jumbled Paragraphs, Errors, Spelling Error etc.

In Reasoning, 05 questions each were asked from Month Based Puzzle and Floor & Flat based puzzles. 05 questions were also asked from the topics of square seating arrangement. Other questions were asked from Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Inequality, Number Series and Distance & Direction.

In Quantitative Aptitude, Simplification and Arithmetic topics exhibited around 10-12 questions each. Other questions were asked from Data Interpretation and Missing Number Series.

Good Attempts

The overall number of good attempts in the second shift exam is envisaged to be higher than that of the first shift exam today. As per memory-based reports, the overall number of good attempts in the second shift exam is in the range of 72 to 78.

The highest number of good attempts is envisaged in the Reasoning section, given the easy difficulty level. As many as 28 out of 35 questions can be correctly answered in this section. Besides, in the English and Quant sections, the number of good attempts is envisaged to be in the range of 23-25.
