Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB) has advertised 1128 vacancies for the posts of Forester and Forest Guard in the state Forest Department. The Board published a detailed notification in this regard yesterday at the official website i.e. rsmssb.rajasthan.gov.in. Eligible and intending candidates are invited to apply online through the aforementioned website by paying an application fee of Rs 450. As per the official notification, the online application process is commencing on December 08, 2020, and will close on January 07, 2021, at the official website. Candidates will be able to deposit the exam fee at e-Mitra kiosks, CSCs or using debit/credit card and internet banking till January 07, 2021.
As per the official notification of RSMSSB Forest Guard Recruitment 2020-2021, there are 87 total vacancies available for the post of Forester while 1041 vacancies are available for the post of Forest Guard. The detailed vacancy bifurcation and horizontal reservation in the vacancies can be checked from the official notification. Selected candidates will be appointed to the aforementioned posts as per the 7th Pay Commission of the state government. Foresters will be appointed at Level 8 while Forest Guards will be appointed at Level 4 of the pay matrix.
The Board has specified certain eligibility criteria for the candidates intending to apply for the recruitment. Candidates holding Indian citizenship, subjects of Nepal & Bhutan are eligible to apply. The applicants must have attained 18 years of age as on January 01, 2021, while they must be below the age of 40 years as on the aforementioned date in order to apply for the post of Forester. However, for the post of Forest Guard, the maximum age of the applicants must be less than 24 years. Candidates can check the relaxations on the upper age limit in the official notification available at the website.
In addition to the aforementioned minimum eligibility criteria, certain conditions of educational qualifications are also imposed by the Board. Candidates must have passed Class 12 exam in order to apply for the post of Forester while one must have passed at least Class 10 in order to apply for the post of Forest Guard. Candidates are advised to go through the eligibility sections on the official notification carefully for further details including physical standards and other eligibility conditions.
As per the official notification, the selection of the eligible applicants is to be done on the basis of a selection test. The details of the test are not yet out. However, the Board has indicated that the exam details will be issued separately in due course of time at the official website. In addition, the Board will also issue admit cards to appear in the exam to all the eligible & registered candidates.
Candidates are advised in their own interest not to wait till the last date to submit applications. Instead, one must go to the website as soon as possible and apply online. At first, candidates will have to register at the SSO portal which is a one time process. Thereafter, they will be able to furnish details in the online application form and submit it.
