Indian Railway has provided a one time opportunity to 70000 aspirants for correcting the photograph in their application form. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) announced the application status on July 11, 2018. As per the status, out of 48 lakh loco pilot and technician applications, 1.33 lakh were marked ineligible.
The majority of the applications, 1.27 lakh to be precise, were rejected due to faulty photograph. Now, the Board is giving 70 thousand of these candidates to correct the error and upload the photograph in prescribed manner. Candidates who can make corrections in the application form, have received an a-mail by the RRB. As per the sources, the applications of the remaining 57000 candidates are being review and re-considered internally.
The Board has only opened the photo correction window for three days. The last date to upload and correct the images is July 20, 2018. The correction facility will end exactly at 11:59 pm. The corrections are to be done from the official candidate login, which is the same as application status login. To access it, candidates need registration number and date of birth.
The correct specification for the photograph is that it should be a coloured one, with a light or white background. The candidates should have scanned it in 100 DPI and it should be uploaded in JPEG or JPG form, with size 35mm X 45mm. Other than this, caps, hats, sunglasses, etc are not allowed in the picture. The candidates should make sure that the name of the candidate and date of clicking should be mentioned on it.

News reports also disclose that Railway Recruitment Board has rejected the application form of 7000 candidates. These applications have been rejected on the ground of past cases of cheating and similar reasons. These candidates are barred from the examination.
RRB ALP / Technician Recruitment 2018 is open for 26,500 posts. The candidates have been waiting long for the admit card and the exam dates but due to some reason or the other, it is being delayed. Now, it is expected that RRB will conduct first CBT of ALP in the month of August / September and the result for it will be announced by the month of January 2019.
For CBT, the admit card will be issued online, region wise. It will be available 10 days prior to the examination. To download the admit card of RRB ALP 2018, the candidates will have to access the login for the respective state and enter registration number and date of birth in the provided space. The candidates will then have to check all the details in the admit card and take a print out of it.
