CBSE 2027 Date Sheet Not Out Yet: Why It Is Later Than Last Year and What Class 10, 12 Students Should Do Now

CBSE has not released the Class 10 and 12 date sheet for 2027, though last year tentative dates came out in September. Its own rule puts the final date sheet after the list of candidates, which can be corrected until 7 November.

CBSE 2027 date sheet: last year the tentative date sheet came on 24 September 2025; the 2027 date sheet is not out yet

Class 10 and 12 students across CBSE schools are still waiting for their 2027 board exam date sheet. As of 2 November 2026, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not released the date sheet and has not announced when it will. Searches for “CBSE date sheet 2027” have risen sharply over the past week, according to Google Trends, as students and parents compare this year with last.

The wait feels longer because last year was different. Here is what CBSE did then, where this year’s process stands, and what students should do in the meantime.

What happened last year

On 24 September 2025, CBSE issued tentative date sheets for the 2026 board exams, almost five months before the first paper on 17 February 2026. The circular said the 2026 exams, including the second Class 10 board exam and Class 12 supplementary exams, would run from 17 February to 15 July 2026, for about 45 lakh candidates in 204 subjects.

CBSE built those early dates from the Class 9 and 11 registration data it already had, so that students could plan their study and schools could plan teacher duties. It also made clear they were not final:

“Please note that these date sheets are tentative. Final date sheets will be issued upon submission of the final list of candidates by the schools.”

Where this year’s process stands

For the 2027 exams, CBSE has not issued a tentative date sheet. It is instead finishing the step that, by its own rule, comes before the final date sheet: the list of candidates (LOC), the data schools submit for every student who will sit the board exams.

  • 17 September 2026: CBSE notified the LOC process for the Class 10 and 12 board exams 2027.
  • 29 September 2026: CBSE held a webinar for schools on registration and LOC, and said the process covers students in nearly 32,000 schools in India and 26 countries.
  • 2 to 7 November 2026: schools can correct LOC data, such as a student’s name, parents’ names, date of birth or subjects. CBSE says no correction will be made after this window. (The circular prints the closing date as “07.11.2025”; read it as 7 November 2026, a Saturday, as stated in the same line.)

CBSE has not given a reason for not issuing an early schedule this year. But by the rule it stated last year, the final date sheet comes after the final list of candidates, and that list can only be final once this correction window closes on 7 November.

What students should do now

  1. Check your LOC details with your school before 7 November. CBSE asks parents to check the student’s name (in full, not short forms), parents’ names, date of birth, and every subject. If a passport has been issued, the details should match it. Nothing can be changed after the window.
  2. Trust only cbse.gov.in for the date sheet. CBSE has warned that fake news spreads around board exams and has asked students and parents to rely only on its official website and regional offices. Do not plan around a timetable PDF forwarded on WhatsApp.
  3. Keep studying to the syllabus, not the calendar. Last year the first theory paper was in mid-February. CBSE has not confirmed the 2027 start date, so do not assume one.

When CBSE publishes the schedule, the full subject-wise date sheet will be on AglaSem Schools: CBSE Class 10 date sheet and CBSE Class 12 date sheet. We will report the release here with what has changed from last year.
