The Railway Recruitment Board will be holding RRB NTPC 2020 CBT 1 from December 15, 2020 onwards. Followed by CBT 1, selected candidates will have to appear for CBT 2, which is expected to be held next year. Around, 1.2 crore candidates have applied for the recruitment and RRB NTPC application status is due to be announced on September 21, 2020.
Indian railway has scrutinised the application received and filtered out the rejected applicants from the provisionally eligible applications. Via the application status, candidates will get to know whether their applications have been rejected or accepted.
All the provisionally eligible candidates will be getting their admit card 4 days before the exam, which is around December 11, 2020. On the other hand, exam date, sift, and center will be announced 8 days before the exam.
The RRB NTPC 2020 admit card / call letter can be downloaded online only, and no candidate will get it via post. To download the admit card candidates need to go to the website of the respective RRB that they belong to. On the website, the link to download the admit card is made available. On clicking it, candidates have to enter the login details and download the call letter.
RRB NTPC 2020 selection is done based on 3 levels. The first 2 levels are computer-based tests. CBT 1 qualified candidates go to CBT 2. Finally selected candidates might have to appear for skill tests, which is the 3rd stage, as per the post they have applied for. In CBT 1 questions will be asked from general awareness, mathematics, and general Intelligence & reasoning. The number of questions in each section will be 40, 30, and 30 respectively. For each correct answer, candidates are given 1 mark and for any wrong attempt, 1/3 marks are deducted.
Via RRB NTPC 2020 recruitment the posts that will be filled are of Commercial Apprentice (CA), Traffic Apprentice (TA), Enquiry Cum Reservation Clerk (ECRC), Goods Guard, Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist (JAA), Senior Clerk Cum Typist, Assistant Station Master (ASM), Traffic Assistant, Senior Time Keeper. For the 10+2 qualified the vacancies are 14060. For the undergraduate degree holders the vacancies available are 30471. Thus the total vacancies are 44531.
