Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi is going to release the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2020 Admit Card on September 21, 2020. This year, the examination is scheduled on September 27, 2020, and admit card for the same shall be released on the official website. Top 2,50,000 qualifiers of JEE Main exam are eligible to appear for this computer-based test. Registration for the national-level entrance test began on September 12, 2020. The last day to do so was September 17, 2020. JEE Advanced is conducted every year for candidates who wish to pursue B.Tech and B.E in IITs across the country.
Candidates can download the JEE Advanced 2020 Admit Card through the official website. Registered students have to first, log-in to the official website. To do so, they have to fill in the necessary log-in credentials like Application number and password. After clicking on the ‘login-in’ option, a link to their admit card shall open and aspirants can print it for future purposes. The admit card is an important document that needs to be present at the time of examination. Along with the admit card, candidates are instructed to bring a valid ID proof (Passport, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, etc), pen, pencil, hand sanitizer, transparent water bottle, etc.
The JEE Advanced admit card contains important details regarding the candidate and examination. These details include name of the candidate, roll number for JEE Advanced 2020, date of birth, category, photograph and signature of candidate, examination time and date, exam centre name and address, etc. The document shall also contain general instructions that all candidates must adhere to. This year, due to the COVID19 Pandemic, certain COVID-specific instructions shall also be mentioned in the admit card. Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before the examination.
Certain important changes have been made in JEE Advanced 2020. This year, instead of 2.4 lakh, top 2.5 lakh successful students are eligible to appear for the entrance examination. JEE Advanced consists of 2 papers, each of three hours. The second paper usually starts at 2:00 pm. However, this year, it shall start at 2:30 pm. Due to the COVID crisis, the organizing body has decided to increase the number of test centres in the country. New examination centres like Dhule, Burdwan, Valsad, Bagalkot, etc have been added. Due to less candidate record in previous years, no centres for examination shall be present in Colombo and Addis Ababa this year.
JEE Advanced 2020 examination was previous scheduled to be conducted in May 2020. However, due to the COVID crisis, the exam got postponed. It is now scheduled to be conducted on September 27, 2020 and results for the same shall be declared on October 5, 2020.
