Railway Recruitment Board recruitment exam 2020-2021 for 1,03,769 vacancies advertised through RRC 01/2019 is tentatively scheduled to be held from April 2021 onwards. In the official exam schedule for various recruitment exams released by RRB earlier, the CBTs for RRB Group D exam 2020-2021 are indicated to be held tentatively in the month of April 2021. RRB has not however published any official notice to confirm the exam date till now. It is being expected that the exam date may be announced during March/April 2021. As per the RRB website, approximately 1.15 crore candidates have already registered for the exam.
Railway Recruitment Board conducts the Group D recruitment exam to fill up vacancies for Level-1 posts such as Helper, Assistant, Pointsman, Track Maintainer etc. in various departments of the Indian Railway. RRB Group D applications to fill up 1,03,769 vacancies was conducted early in the year 2019. However, there was no word on when the exam would be conducted until recently. In a video posted by the Minister of Railways, it was announced by the CEO of the Railway Board that the Board is all set to conduct various pending recruitment examinations.
Earlier, as per announcement by the CEO of the Railway Board, the examinations of NTPC, Group D and Isolated & Ministerial categories are to be conducted from December 15, 2020 onward. In due course of time, Railway Recruitment Board officially declared the time table of conducting the examinations indicating the exact dates.
It was declared that the Group D recruitment to fill up 1,03,769 vacancies of Level-1 posts is to be conducted tentatively in the month of April 2021. It was however indicated that the exact dates are to be decided after the conduct of the NTPC recruitment exam which is yet another important exam conducted to fill up vacancies for Non-Popular Technical Category posts in the railways. The official exam dates of the NTPC 2020-2021 exam are out now and the exam is scheduled to be conducted from December 28, 2020 to March, 2021.
Based on the newly released exam dates of the RRB NTPC 2020-2021 recruitment, it is highly expected that the RRB Group D Exam Date 2020-2021 may fall anywhere between April to June 2021. It is expected that the Group D 2020-2021 CBT exam dates are to be announced with the commencement of the NTPC exam tentatively in the month of March/April 2021. As per official records, the Railways have registered 1.15 crore applicants for the Group D 2020-2021 exam.
It may be noted that RRB Group D recruitment is conducted through three stages among which, the Computer Based Test is the first selection stage. Candidates have to answer an all objective question paper consisting of 100 objective type questions. The paper is based on General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning and General Awareness and Current Affairs.
