Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has declared the exam date and session for computer-based RRB Group D 2018 examination. The candidates can now log in with their credentials and check their allotted exam date and session. The examination will take place over several periods of days starting from September 17, 2018. Right now, RRB has just notified the exam date, session, and center under the candidates’ login. The admit card will be available four days prior to the exam day.
The RRB has also announced that the Exam City and Date information is live for candidates scheduled from September 17 to October 16, 2018. For all remaining candidates, the details will be live from September 13, 2018.
To check the exam city and date information, the candidates need to visit the official website of respective RRB for which they have applied for. Next, the candidates need click on the link which says, Intimation about the Exam Date, Session and Center. Enter the login details and submit it. Check the exam details and make necessary arrangements so that you reach the center on time.

In addition to the intimation of exam date, session, and center, RRB is also to release the travel authority pass to the SC/ST candidates on September 10, 2018. The board makes it clear that this is only traveling pass and not a pass to exam centers. The admit card of RRB Group D exam will be only used to enter the center.
There is no provision to request a change in the allotted exam date, session, and center. The intimated exam date, session, and center of RRB Group D 2018 exam will be made available in the admit card too. Since the examination is starting from September 17, 2018, the admit card for this day of the exam is expected to be available on September 13, 2018, i.e. 4 days prior to the exam day as notified by RRB. This will continue for all the exam days.
It is to be noted the admit card for RRB Group D 2018 exam will be released on the official websites of various RRBs namely RRB Ahmedabad, RRB Ajmer, RRB Bhopal, RRB Bangalore, RRB Chennai, RRB Chandigarh, RRB Guhawati, RRB Kolkata, RRB Mumbai, RRB Patna, RRB Ranchi, RRB Secunderabad, RRB Bhubaneshwar, RRB Allahabad, RRB Bilaspur, RRB Gorakhpur. There are a total 62,907 vacancies in total in Group D.
As per the intimated exam dates and session, candidates need to appear in the exam center with a valid photo Id proof in original.
The examination will be a computer-based test. Candidates have to attempt question from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science and General awareness and Current
Affairs. In Maths and Science, 25 questions will be asked. In the General Intelligence and Reasoning section, 30 questions will be asked, and from Current Affairs, 20 questions will be asked. There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks for every incorrect answer.
The mock tests for the RRB Group D 2018 exam will be also activated in the website of RRBs from Septem 10, 2018. The mock tests can be accessed by the aspirants for practice.
There will be a round-2, after the computer-based RRB Group D 2018 examination. This is the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). However, round 2 is only those students will qualify the round-1 which is the computer-based test. Those candidates who have not cleared the round 1, will not be allowed to take the Physical Efficiency Test.
On the basis of the candidates’ performance in both the test which is Computer Based Test (CBT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), they will be called for the verification of documents. Candidates after the examination can get recruitment in the posts like Gateman, Track Maintainer/ Trackman, Pointsman, Helpers in Electrical, Helpers in Engineering, Helpers in Mechanical, Porters, Helpers in Signal & Telecommunication.
