Around 1.5 crore candidates who have applied for the RRB Group D exam are still awaiting an update regarding the RRB Group D admit card. Railway Recruitment Board has announced around 1,03,769 vacancies for group D posts in the different regional boards in 2019.
Although the vacancies and application form have been released in 2019, there is no update regarding the examination or admit RRB Group D admit card as of now. The RRB notified an update on October 16, 2021, citing that the railway has completed the process of hiring a vendor that would conduct on behalf of the board. Since then, there is an utter silence regarding the exam dates or any other updates. The student body even conducted a Twitter campaign in September 2021 requesting the ministry to release the admit card or any official update. However, it went futile and the ministry remained tight-lipped regarding the whole situation.
The candidates who are already working in the department as RRB Group D employees are now sharing their salary slips in a bid to motivate the aspirants. It is evident from a recent video that candidates post joining the department are been provided with hefty salaries. Along with the basic salary, the candidates are also entitled to receive other allowances on a quarterly and half-yearly basis. The candidates are even entitled to get railway quarters as accommodation. In a nutshell, RRB Group D is a job that provides hefty perks and job security at the same time.
In the official notice released by RRB, the board has mentioned that the candidate’s post selection will be entitled to receive salary as per Level 1 of the 7th CPC pay matrix. The pay scale corresponding to level 1 of 7th CPC is INR 5200-20,200 and the basic pay for the same is INR 18,000 with a grade pay equivalent to 1800. While working as a Group D employee, the candidates get a lot of opportunities to grow by opting for the promotional exams.
