RRB Group D 2018

As per the latest information, Indian Railway (IR) will be conducting RRB Group D 2018 from September to November. The Stage I CBT will be held for 1.9 crore candidates, which is a huge number. Hence, the exam will be held in a window of three months. This year, IR has opened one of the biggest vacancies of all time. Until August 31, 2018, the Loco Pilot and Technician examination is begin held. As soon as it will get over, the RRB Group D 2018 exam will begin.

Since the Group D recruitment first announced, a lot of fake dates have been circulated on the social media platforms. Even few of the blogging websites are providing false dates. Candidates should not be misguided by these dates and wait for the official notification. It is expected that the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will upload official RRB Group D exam date notification by the end of August, probably in the 4th week, i.e. between August 26 to 31, 2018.

Along with the exam dates, the Railway Board will also release admit card and travel pass. Other than these, the exam city, date, and session is expected to be announced separately. For RRB ALP CBT, the Board informed candidates about the test date, city, and session in prior, via the login. Then after few days it issued the admit card.

The admit card will also be uploaded online. Candidates will have to login and download it by entering the registration id and password. The admit card will contain exam date, center, address, timing, reporting time, roll number, registration number, shift, photograph, signature, etc.

The issuance of RRB Group D admit card will only be done online, in the official website of the RRBs. In total there are 16 RRBs which are – RRB Ahmadabad, RRB Patna, RRB Ajmer, RRB Mumbai, RRB Secunderabad, RRB Allahabad, RRB Kolkata, RRB Bangalore, RRB Guwahati, RRB Bhopal, RRB Gorakhpur, RRB Chennai, RRB Bhubhaneshwar, RRB Chandigarh, RRB Ranchi, and RRB Bilaspur.

The candidates need to download the admit card and produce a hard copy of it. On the exam day, the candidates will have to show admit card as a print copy which should be in good condition. Along with the admit card, one valid id proof and a passport size photograph is also to be carried.

Size of the photograph should be 35mm x 45mm (it should be the same as that uploaded during the application process) and valid id card can be – voter card, pan card, aadhaar card, printout of e-aadhaar,identity card issued by the employer in case the candidate is a govt. employee, driving license, passport, school / college / university photo id card, etc.

However, huge number of candidates applied for the examination and the scrutiny of application took a longer than expected. Hence, the exam got delayed.

RRB also had to cancel ALP / Technician examination in Kerala on August 07, 20, and 21, due to the floods. It is also begin predicted that Group D examination will also be pushed beyond November, if any such unavoidable occurrence hinder the conduct of CBT.
