In a 7th Corrigendum notice for E-Tender No. RRBCHENNAI-CEN-01-2019-ECA, Railway Recruitment Board Chennai (RRB Chennai) has announced the revised dates of tender submission and opening of technical bids. The official corrigendum notice is released on the website of RRB Chennai i.e. rrbchennai.gov.in. Earlier, the RRB has published a series of corrigendum to the aforementioned original E-Tender notice.
In this latest corrigendum 7, RRB Chennai has indicated that the bidding is scheduled to start on August 03, 2020. The final date and time of submission of online bids are August 17, 2020, up to 02.00 PM. It has also been notified that technical bids are scheduled to open on August 17, 2020, from 03.00 PM. The Board has also highlighted the successful conclusion of the pre-bid conference on July 07, 2020, in the 7th corrigendum notice.
The Corrigendum No. 7 to the E-Tender No. RRBCHENNAI-CEN-01-2019-ECA is the latest notification in continuation of the aforementioned tender notice. The tender notice was published by the Board earlier for the work of engagement of ECA to conduct the Computer Based Test (CBT) against recruitment notification (CEN) No.01/2019 for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC). The Board has announced that the pre-bid conference was successfully conducted as per schedule with the aim of addressing the queries of prospective bidders against the tender notice under consideration. Accordingly, it is announced that the Computer Based Tests (CBTs) may have to be conducted in compliance with the safety measures against COVID-19 in the greater interest of public health. As this requires detailed study and analysis of the situation, therefore, citing similar reasons, the RRB has announced the revised dates of bid submission and opening of technical bids. Prospective bidders are advised to visit ireps.gov.in to get notifications of any further revision in dates or other updates.
Earlier, the RRB Chennai published a series of corrigendum to the aforementioned tender notice. In the previous issue i.e. Corrigendum No. 6, prospective bidders were informed about the date of conducting the pre-bid conference. Additionally, it was also notified that the pre-bid conference could be held online if situations demanded so. Therefore, prospective bidders were directed to submit the details of their representatives for the online pre-bid meeting.
The actual notice of tender was released for the work of engagement of Exam Conducting Agency to conduct the CBTs, Computer Based Aptitude/Typing skill test, and document verification against Centralised Employment Notice CEN No. 1/2019. RRB conducted the application process for the aforementioned recruitment event until April 12, 2019. Subsequently, the Computer Based Tests were scheduled to be held between June to September 2019. However, the exam was postponed through an official postponement notice published by the RRB in October 2019.
