The Reserve bank of India (RBI) will be conducting the Grade B 2022 examinations next year. However, so far, there has been no official notification regarding the application form and the exam dates. RBI Grade B 2022 is a national-level examination for which candidates must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree to be eligible to apply. There are three phases for the examination starting with prelims, main, and then the interview. The Grade B officers are the DR, DSIM, and DEPR who fall in the common security group (CSG).
Before starting with the online application, RBI releases an official notification based on which candidates are able to know everything about the recruitment exam. For RBI Grade B 2021, the notification was released on January 28, 2021, on the official website rbi.org.in. Following this trend, it seems likely that the notification for RBI Grade B 2022 will be released by the last week of January 2022. On the other hand, experts on YouTube have claimed that there are chances of the notification being released in December 2021. Nonetheless, these are just speculations and candidates should not jump to any conclusion right now.
As already mentioned, there will be three phases of the RBI Grade B 2022 examination. The first phase or prelims will be a written examination in which there will be four sections. These sections include General Awareness, English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. The total mark for Phase 1 is 200. Coming to Phase 2, there will be two objectives and one descriptive paper. The objective papers are Economic & Social Issues and Finance while the descriptive paper is English. Each paper will have 100 marks.
Detailed information about the syllabus of the examination is likely to be released along with the notification. The portions covered in Phase 1 are very much similar to that of any other competitive banking examination. Reasoning will cover topics like coding-decoding, syllogism, puzzles, verbal reasoning, etc. Quantitative Aptitude will have topics like ratio and proportion, time and work, approximation, etc. Similarly, the English language will have grammar, vocabulary, error spotting, comprehension, etc. while General Awareness will cover current awareness, Indian Banking System, Monetary Plans, etc.
Phase 2 of the RBI Grade B 2022 examination has a detailed syllabus covering various topics under each section. Moreover, the post-wise syllabus for DR, DEPR and DSIM is also varied. For each post, the standard of the question paper will depend on the required educational qualification.
