As per the latest sources, the Reserve Bank of India will release the RBI Assistant 2021 notification in the month of July 2021. The tentative dates for the release of the RBI Assistant are any day between July 10, 2021 to July 31, 2021. While the tentative date for the preliminary examination is September 27, 2021, and September 28, 2021. The source also revealed that the expected number of vacancies pan India will be equivalent to 900+/- 10%. As per the eligibility criteria released for the Assistant post under RBI previously, the candidate should be an Indian having an age between 20 years to 28 years. In addition to this, the candidate should be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University along with a working knowledge of Computer. The candidate should also be aware of reading and writing the official language of the state from where they are applying.
The Selection process of RBI Assistant 2021 includes three stages i.e. Preliminary, Mains and Language Proficiency Test. The preliminary exam comprises of three subjects i.e. Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and Reasoning Ability. The total number of question asked from these subject will be equal to 100 with a sectional timing of 20 minutes for each section. While the Mains exam will be a CBT test having questions from five subjects i.e.General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Computer Knowledge and Reasoning Ability.
Each section will account for 40 questions totalling 200 questions with different sectional timing for each section. The last stage will be a Language Proficiency Test round and each selected candidates will be required to qualify it by qualifying the reading and writing round of the official language of the applied region.
Upon final selection, the candidates will be absorbed as an Assistant within the bank and will subject to receive a salary on the pay scale of Rs 14,650. Along with this, the candidates will also be subjected to receive allowances i.e. DA, HRA, CCA, etc. The job profile of an RBI Assistant includes maintaining files, cross verifying details, replying to RTIs submitted by the general public and verifying documents submitted by banks, etc.
