Railway Releases CEN 03/2018 for 798 New RPF Constable Ancillary Vacancies; Application Releases on 1 January 2019

Ministry of Railway has announced RPF Constable Ancillary Recruitment 2018. The recruitment is open for 798 posts for Constable water carrier, safaiwala, washer man, barber, mail, tailor Gr. III, and cobbler Gr. III. The recruitment of the RPF Constable will be done under Level 2 and 3 of 7th CPC Pay matrix in various zone of Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Forces (RPSF)

The registration for RPF Constable Ancillary 2019 will begin in on January 01, 2019, at 10:00 am. Candidates will only get 1 month to apply, as the registration will end on January 31, 2019. It is expected that the registration will open on the website of ongoing RPF Constable Recruitment 2018, constable.rpfonlinereg.org. Candidates will only be able to apply online.

In order to apply, candidates will have to fulfill the eligibility criteria. The criteria to be satisfied demands that the candidate should be a citizen of India. The minimum education qualification of the aspirant should be SSLC/Matric from a recognized Board and they should be 18 to 25 year old.

Those who are eligible will need an e-mail id and mobile number to apply. In the application form, the candidates will have to submit personal, education, and contact details. The application fee is Rs. 500 but candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex-serviceman / Female / Minorities / Economically Backward Class need to pay Rs. 250 only.

The selection process of RPF Constable Ancillary includes CBT, PET & PMT, Trade Test, and Document Verification. First, the CBT will be held. The dates for CBT has not been announced yet but it is expected to be held in the month of February and March. Qualifying candidates of CBT will be called for PET and PMT round and so on.

The computer based test will be a 45 minute examination. The question paper will be available in 15 languages, which candidates will be able to choose during the application form filling. The languages are – Hindi, English, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Konkani, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Odia, Assamese, Manipuri, and Punjabi.

In all, there will be 60 questions in the exam. These will be from General Awareness, Arithmetic, and general Intelligence and Reasoning. Each section will have 20 questions of 1 marks each. Negative marking of 1/3 marks is applicable in the exam.

RPF is also conducting CBT for Sub Inspector and Constable. This is the third recruitment by RPF. The announced salary for the Constable Water Carrier, Safaiwala, Washerman, Barber and Gardener post is Rs. 21, 700, under Level 3 of 7th CPC. Tailor and Cobbler fall under Level 2 of 7th CPC and will get initial salary of Rs. 19,900. Additional perks applicable.
