Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has released the official notification for the recruitment of 866 posts of Veterinary-Inspector in the state veterinary department, under the advt. no. 14/2021. The aspiring candidates can apply online for the said posts at the recruitment portal from the official website of the state subordinate board at sssb.punjab.gov.in. The application form for the recruitment is available until July 30, 2021. The shortlisted candidates are going to receive a salary of Rs 29,200 as per the 7th CPC matrix level.
To apply, candidates need to visit the official website and click on the “Online Applications” tab and then on “New Registration”. After doing so, candidates need to fill in all the personal and educational details. After getting the online application number, the candidate should upload a scanned copy of the passport size photograph, signature, class 10th Punjabi certificate, and qualifying exam certificate to complete the application form.
On the third day after submitting the application form, the candidate will have to deposit the application fee by logging into the online application portal after 11:00 am. The general category candidates will have to pay Rs 1000/- as an application fee, whereas, candidates belonging to SC/ BC/ EWS and ex-servicemen will have to pay Rs 250. and Rs 200 respectively. Candidates with physical disabilities are required to pay Rs 500. The last date for submission of the fee is August 03.
To be eligible the candidate should have passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Math/Biology subjects from a recognized board. They should possess a diploma in veterinary science and animal health technology of two years duration or its equivalent. It is suggested to the candidates that ensure the detailed eligibility criteria as given in the information brochure, before applying online for the Veterinary Inspector post.
Once the applications close and the exam date is finalized, the state subordinate and services selection board (PSSSB) will issue admit cards to the candidates found successfully registered. A separate intimation regarding the exam date, a link for downloading admit card will be issued on the official site.

Selection of the eligible candidates will be based on an objective type written examination that will be conducted for all the candidates applying for the Veterinary Inspector posts. Candidates in each category of the written test must obtain at least 40 percent marks to qualify the exam. Those who qualify in the written test (i.e candidates who get at least 40% marks) will be invited for counseling three times more than the total posts or as per the decision taken by the competent authority.
