Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) has announced recruitment for the 350 vacant posts of Assistant Lineman (ALM). A detailed advertisement with CRA no. 07/2020 is also published online at pstcl.org and recruitment.pstcl.org. As per the notification, the online registration has started today that is from December 09, 2020. Candidates who have passed 10th class can apply online for this recruitment. The link for PSTCL Recruitment application form will remain active till December 31, 2020, by 05:00 PM.
Candidates interested in the recruitment are suggested to read the eligibility criteria first before applying. Those who have passed 10th class with Punjabi or its equivalent are eligible for PSTCL Assistant Lineman Recruitment. They should also have full time regular ITI in Electrician/ Wireman trade from a recognized institution.
PSTCL Assistant Lineman Recruitment Notification
The knowledge of Punjabi language is mandatory for PSTCL Recruitment. However, this criteria is relaxable for the Sikh migrants (1984 riot affected). Such candidates are required to acquire the knowledge of Punjabi language within two years of joining the service.
Apart from the educational qualification, aspirants are also required to meet the age limit. They should have completed the minimum age limit of 18 years as on January 01, 2020. Aspirants age should not be more than 37 years while applying. The upper age limit relaxation is admissible as per the Government of India guidelines. Up to 05 years relaxation is provided to SC/ ST category, 10 years for Physical handicap candidates.
Eligible applicants can submit their applications by visiting pstcl.org or recruitent.pstcl.org. They will get the registration link under “Recruitment for Assistant Lineman” section. On successful registration, PSTCL generates a registration number. They can then use the login details to submit the online applications thereafter.
Candidates are also required to pay the application fee are specified in the notification. SC/ EWS category candidates have to make a payment of Rs. 160/- + intimation charges. A person with disability category candidates has to pay Rs. 200/- plus intimation charges. All other category candidates are required to pay Rs. 400/- + bank charges. The last date to pay the PSTCL application fee is January 04, 2021.
The selection for the post of Assistant Lineman is done only through the merit list. PSTCL does not conduct written exam or interview with shortlisted candidates. Depending upon the marks secure in ITI and 10th class, PSTCL prepares the merit list. In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the examination, then their rank is determined by age. Candidates who are older are placed higher in the merit list.
